For the best in Ontario fishing, there is no better place than Lake Nipissing. Due to its relative shallowness, unique structure and abundant plant life, Lake Nipissing offers a quality and variety of fishing unmatched anywhere in the region. We’ve been fishing in Ontario for many years and nothing compares to Lake Nipissing.

Rockview Cottages is a very well known Ontario fishing resort. We’re situated in an ideal location near the mouth of South Bay which offers easy access to the best fishing areas in South Bay and along the south shore. The well-protected South Bay ensures that you can get out fishing in almost any weather conditions.

There aren’t many Ontario fishing lakes that can produce the variety and quality of fish we see here on Lake Nipissing. Regardless of what type of fish you prefer to catch, there are great locations nearby. Some of the absolute best Walleye/Pickerel areas are found in South Bay and along the eastern south shore. Bass are often caught along the eastern shore of South Bay. Northern Pike can be found throughout the lake and there are a few prime locations directly offshore from our dock. Muskies are often found along the western shore of South Bay.

Rockview Cottages offers one of the best docking locations of any Ontario fishing resort. Our large, well-protected docking area can accommodate up to 14 boats of various shapes and sizes. Our shore is protected by an island just offshore which means that even during the worst weather conditions, your boat is kept safe and sound. Our dock is located just steps away from the cottages, so you won’t have any trouble bringing your fishing gear down to the boat and bringing your catch up for dinner.

Our well equipped fleet of boats includes 25 and 40hp motors, swivel seats, fish finders, live wells and all required safety equipment. We also check your gas and oil levels and refill them each and every time you return from fishing to ensure that your boat is always ready to head back out on your next fishing trip.

We are pleased to provide a top quality fish cleaning facility for our guests. Everything you need to clean your catch is provided, including running water, large counter space, newspaper, soap and paper towels.

There are a number of quality bait shops within 5 minutes of our location and for your convenience, we also have bait available on site.
